In a mixie jar, take all the ingredients given above. Grind it to a smooth paste adding required water.
Enjoy with hot idli, dosa adding few drops of gingely oil.
Gingely oil helps to enhance its flavour while eating. So don’t skip it.
Adjust the quantity of chilli as per your need. If you reduce the chillies, the raw smell of onion will be dominating.
To balance the taste, use right quantity of chillies & tamarind.

Notes
You can grind this chutney with big onions too. It will be little sweetish in taste. You can combine both the onions and do it. Color of this chutney may vary as per the color of chilli. Use Byadgi chilli for bright color.
