Generally most of us make only chutneys for dosa, rarely sambar. But my husband likes to eat dosa with sambar more than chutney. So i do this sambar for dosa. It tastes good with idli & chapathi too.
Method to prepare
1. Boil the tomatoes(no need to peel the skin) and let it cool down.Grind it with all the items given under ”TO GRIND” with required water to make a smooth paste.
2. Cut the onions into small pieces.
3. Heat oil in a pan and add the tempering items one by one.Add the chopped onions and saute till they are cooked.Add some water and bring it to boil.
4.Now add the paste and put it on high flame for 2mins.
6.If the gravy is very thick add more water and the required salt.
7.Garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot with dosa!!
Spicy Sambar is ready to serve with dosa!!!
NOTE: If u want to make this for chapathi, add less water and make it thick.Try adding some vegetables!!
